Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the outside provider that supplies that result service. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. If you contact us, we use the contents of the message to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services create standard logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review this in aggregate for reliability and page-use patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
It supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and improvements to the reference. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on your place of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a service keeps about you. Missouri research for this reference did not identify one broad consumer-deletion statute governing all private sites; public-record access is instead governed by record-specific rules and the Missouri Sunshine Law, chapter 610 RSMo. Because we retain very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs, then removing material found. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Missouri state, county, or city custodians remain outside our control and must be addressed to that custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
